The use of Tissuemed’s TissuePatch sealant film in the management of chyle leak in major neck surgery is described in a new clinical report from surgeons from the Royal London Hospital, London and the Mercy Ships working in Africa. This short communication published in the British Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, describes the use of TissuePatch as an adjunct to ensure potential sources of leakage are sealed effectively.
Mr Leo Cheng, Consultant Oral & Maxillofacial surgeon commented, “we found that TissuePatch adhered well to the irregular surfaces of the soft tissue bed and effectively sealed blood and chylous leaks”.
