To answer some common questions regarding the constituent materials and chemistry of Tissuemed’s sealant films, a new Technical Series Bulletin has been published here on the clinical section of the Tissuemed website. Tissuemed’s Operations Manager, Dr Ian Thompson explains “The components of TissuePatch are fully synthetic and selected from materials already in widespread clinical use. The product has passed an extensive range of biocompatability and safety testing and in excess of 25,000 units have been supplied for use in general, thoracic and neurosurgery applications.”
