Tissuemed’s Research and QC laboratory at our facility in Leeds is rarely seen, but after some recent updates and investment – including acquisition of new instrumentation and installation of additional partitioning, we thought you’d like to see it in its full glory.
The birthplace of TissueBond™ and TissuePatch™ technologies, the laboratory enables Tissuemed® to be at the forefront of Surgical Sealants research.
Capabilities include monomer and polymer synthesis and characterisation, product formulation, physical testing, stability testing and in vitro performance studies.
Talking about the laboratory, Tissuemed’s Chief Technical Officer, Dr Ian Thompson said; “this continued investment confirms Tissuemed’s commitment to maintaining high quality scientific capabilities that underpin our emerging product development pipeline.
Equipment includes a brand new ATR FT-IR spectrometer (pictured) to complement UV-Vis spectroscopy, Brookfield rheology, physical testing equipment and floor-to-ceiling fume cabinets enabling chemical synthesis up to multi kilo scales.”
