Dural sealant film manufacturer Tissuemed Ltd (Leeds, UK) is pleased to announce that it has appointed Sophysa (Paris, France) as the exclusive distributor of TissuePatchDural in France.
The agreement, which begins in November, gives Sophysa exclusive distribution rights to sell Tissuemed’s dural sealant for use in neuro- and spinal surgery. TissuePatchDural is an ultra-thin adhesive film, which adheres to the body’s internal tissues to prevent the leakage of Cerebrospinal Fluid encountered in surgery.
Speaking about the partnership, Tissuemed’s CEO David Mandley, said: “France is an important market for Tissuemed and I am pleased to have secured Sophysa to distribute TissuePatchDural™. Sophysa has formally launched TissuePatchDural at the of French-Speaking Society of Neurosurgeons (SNCLF) annual meeting in Paris, 26-28th November 2012 and it has raised considerable interest among the Neurosurgery community.
