Tissuemed didn’t quite make it ‘four in a row’ at last night’s Insider, ‘Made in the UK’ Awards. The company was representing Yorkshire in the Medical, Life Sciences and Healthcare category, having won the regional award back in April. This time around, at a national level, Tissuemed lost out to Almac, an international contract development and manufacturing company based in Craigavon, Northern Ireland.
David Mandley, CEO commented, ‘We took a small team to Liverpool and had a most enjoyable evening celebrating the very best of UK Manufacturing. It was an honour to be there as winners from the Made in Yorkshire awards earlier this year. We congratulate all of the nominated companies and winners on the night.’
Tissuemed has been recognised in numerous awards this year for its achievement in gaining Chinese regulatory approval for the TissuePatch surgical sealant film family of products. TissuePatch remains the first and only surgical sealant to gain such approval.
