Tissuemed exhibiting at SBNS Spring Meeting 2013
Next week (22-24 May) sees the SBNS Spring meeting taking place in Sheffield. Tissuemed will be participating in this key meeting for UK neurosurgeons and will be exhibiting TissuePatchDural™.
The program includes a poster presentation from neurosurgeons at The Leeds General Infirmary, comparing TissuePatchDural™ with a traditional liquid sealant for CSF leak prevention in posterior fossa surgery. The paper presents a retrospective data analysis from patients who underwent elective neurosurgery, where watertight dural closure was required. A total of 101 patients were routinely managed with either fibrin sealant or TissuePatchDural™.
Further details of the study findings will be provided when the data has been presented next week.

TissuePatchDural™ – News from India
Tissuemed’s distributor in India, Mur and Mur recently participated in the Neurosurgical “Hands-On” Workshop hosted by the Sri Aurobindo Institute of Medical Sciences in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. During this two day event, delegates received a range of practical advice and had an opportunity to use a variety of medical devices including TissuePatchDural™, Tissuemed’s sealant film for dural closure.

TissuePatchDural™ promoted at the 14th Dubai Spine Conference & the 27th Annual Scientific Congress of Turkish Neurosurgical Society
The Neuro Spinal Hospital, Dubai recently hosted the 14th Dubai Spine Conference in the Armani Hotel, Burj Khalifa, Dubai. Tissuemed’s distributor in Dubai, Bayan Medical Co proudly supported the conference and used the opportunity to present TissuePatchDural™ to the delegates.
Soon after the 14th Dubai Spine Conference, The Turkish Neurosurgical Society held their 27th annual scientific conference in Belek, Antalya, Turkey. Tissuemed’s Turkish distributor, MedelTip Tibbi Ekipmanlar, were not only present at the conference where they actively promoted the TissuePatchDural™ brand of surgical sealants, but were also a major sponsor of the conference.

Tissuemed – News from the European Patent Office
Following recent patent approvals in the United States and China, Tissuemed is pleased to announce that within the last month the European Patent Office (EPO) has issued Notices of Allowance for 2 key patent applications covering Tissuemed’s novel bioadhesive polymer, TissueBond and the TissuePatch product family, incorporating TissuePatch and TissuePatchDural.

New “multi-pack” supply option.
Tissuemed are pleased to announce the introduction of their new “multi-pack”. The “multi-pack” supply option will be available to all customers and distribution partners from 1st April 2013.
Each “multi-pack” comprises 5 individual, sterile packed patches and are available for both TissuePatch and TissuePatchDural and for all size options.
The “multi-pack” offers our customers:
a) an easier ordering process for multiple units (one order code for a box of five patches),
b) easier receipt and storage of multiple units (5 patches per box),
c) easier storage of different size options (stackable),
d) clearer identification of product on storage shelves,
e) easier brand (TissuePatch / TissuePatchDural) and size identification, and
f) improved visibility of stock levels of each size.
Tissuemed received extremely positive feedback from a number of their direct customers and international distributor partners during the investigative phase, and all have welcomed the launch of this initiative.
