 Tissuemed appoints new CEOTissuemed’s current Deputy Chairman, Nick Woods has been appointed Chief Executive Officer with immediate effect following David Fortune’s decision to step down from the role he has held for ten years. Nick was appointed to the Board of Tissuemed on 21 March 2007 and was subsequently appointed Executive Deputy Chairman of the Board, with responsibility for orchestrating the launch, marketing and subsequent sales of the TissuePatch product family. Nick has enjoyed a highly successful sales & marketing oriented career in the medical device industry having formerly been a co-founder and executive director of Atlantech Medical Devices Ltd, a medical device company focused on orthopaedic devices which was sold to ArthroCare Corporation, USA, in 2002.  Board appointment of Dr David MandleyDr David Mandley, currently the Company’s QA & Regulatory Affairs Manager, has joined the Board of Directors. David, who has a doctorate in chemistry, has been associated with Tissuemed since 1993 when he was involved with research at Loughborough University being carried out in conjunction with the Company. He transferred to direct employment by Tissuemed in 2000. Since his involvement with Tissuemed began he has played a key part in the development of the Company’s sealant technology and, more recently, in the management of Tissuemed’s Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs and Clinical Development programmes. As an Executive Director, David will retain these responsibilities and his promotion will help strengthen the Board. |
